The Educational Liberty Alliance is pleased to announce our Board of Advisors:
John M. Ellis is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of German Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He founded the Association of Literary Scholars and Critics in 1993, and served as president of the California Association of Scholars in 2007–13 and chairman of its board since then. He is the author of ten books, including Literature Lost: Social Agendas and the Corruption of the Humanities (1999), which received the Peter Shaw Memorial Award from the National Association of Scholars. His articles on education reform have appeared in prominent national publications. His most recent book is The Breakdown of Higher Education: How It Happened, the Damage It Does, and What Can Be Done (2020).
David M. Romps is a Professor of Climate Physics in the Department of Earth and Planetary Science at UC Berkeley. Prof. Romps studies the fundamental physics of climate and educates students and the public about global warming. He received a B.S. in math and a B.S./M.S. in physics from Yale University and a Ph.D. in physics from Harvard University. Motivated by concerns about climate change, he left the field of string theory to work on climate policy at the Woods Hole Research Center and on atmospheric dynamics at Harvard's Center for the Environment. He then joined the faculty at UC Berkeley and currently teaches the popular course Introduction to Climate Change. He is on Twitter @romps.
Paul Rossi is a high school mathematics teacher, tutor, and writer. He has been tutoring since 2007 and taught math at Grace Church School from 2012 to 2021. He graduated with a B.A. in French Literature from Cornell in 1992, and earned an M.A. in Educational Psychology at Hunter College in 2010. His essay, "I Refuse to Stand by While My Students are Indoctrinated," was published in April on Bari Weiss's "Common Sense" Substack. He's currently writing a book documenting the impact on K-12 education of the growing DEI consultant industry. You can find him on Twitter @pauldrossi.
Bonnie Kerrigan Snyder, D.Ed. is a former teacher, counselor, and college professor and the author of Undoctrinate: How Politicized Classrooms Harm Kids and Ruin Our Schools—And What We Can Do About It. She is an honors graduate of Harvard with a doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration.
